About us
The Plain City Presbyterian Church strives to provide a warm, welcoming and encouraging church experience. This begins with a meaningful Sunday worship service that includes a Biblical message and its meaning for today’s world, We are a close-knit church family, sharing our joys and concerns each week and faithfully offering prayers for each other and the world, and providing community aid support where we can. Music has always been vital to our weekly worship. Our worship services are traditional, with religious and classical music featured ,and it uplifts us weekly.
In the fall of 1800, the Plain City Presbyterian Church was formed. This congregation began over two hundred years ago. But, it really began when Jesus said to those early followers, “Plain City go make disciples … and when you make disciples, then baptize them, and when you baptize them, teach them to observe all that I command you.” There is our vision; that is our purpose.

What to Expect When You Visit
- We will greet you with a friendly smile and guide you to the sanctuary and point out the facilities and the nursery if needed.
- Grab a bulletin or watch the announcements as they stream online before the service begins. At the beginning we will have a time of passing of the peace so get ready for some handshakes or fist bumps ( if its cold and flu season).
- Sign a pew pad to help us reach out to you and be available for any questions you may have.
- Children are invited down front for a weekly Children’s message and then they can go out to LIGHT (Learning in God’s House Together) for fun children’s lessons and activities.
- After worship, come join us in the parlor right next to the sanctuary for refreshments and fellowship. It’s a time that we catch up with each other, and we would love to welcome you and share more about our congregation.
